Land Surface Temperature Data

At its core the atlas relies on Land Surface Temperature (LST) measurements. LST indicates the absolute 'skin' temperature of the Earth's surface based on heat emitted by different surface types, captured through thermal sensors.


LST is a critical metric that reveals the physical and chemical realities of our planet, from crop health to urban heat and water resources use, and thus is crucial in addressing global challenges with confidence.
